Butterflies like the same sweet nectar that hummingbirds do, and they like fruit too! This feeder has a 6 ounce reservoir and has little spikes for adding fruit, such as a slice of banana or apple. The gift pack comes with a package of quick dissolving nectar that makes 3.25 quarts.

Butterflies like extremely ripe fruit, even fruit we'd consider too far ripe to eat. Try watermelon, pears, apples, grapes, berries or tomatoes in a bird bath and see who appears! Moths and beetles may visit at night, so take a flashlight out to see who visits.
